I was born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates back when it was nothing but desert. I left Dubai at 16 years old and moved to Cairo, Egypt and completed my undergraduate degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the American University in Cairo.

I lived in Washington D.C. for a year and from there moved to Montreal, Canada to pursue a Masters degree in International Relations.

I fell in love with Montreal and decided to stay and became a Canadian citizen last year.

I love Canada, but specifically Montreal. The vibrancy of the city, mixed with the culture and good food, makes it interesting and never boring!

I have worked as a researcher, which required a lot of writing but I also have a personal passion for it, though have never pursued it. I am using this opportunity to discover whether this is a passion which might grow into something more.
